A Central Oregon stalwart, Widgi Creek Golf Club has been providing an outstanding golf and service experience to members and the public alike since 1989. Situated along the upper rim of the Deschutes River Canyon, and seemingly carved through the native ponderosa pines that inhabit the area, Widgi Creek is known for its fast, undulating greens, as well as its consistent conditioning, particularly during the summer months. Its variety of tee options allow players of varying abilities to enjoy the course equally, which is a good thing, as a premium is placed on driving accuracy. The course plays a respectable 6,900 yards from the tips, but many of the holes focus on control over length, to ensure an unobstructed approach to each green. And, at an elevation approaching 4,000 feet above sea level, golf balls will already be traveling farther than normal for most!
The Bar at Widgi Creek is open to players before or after their round, with a full bar and at least five local brews on tap. The expansive wrap-around outdoor deck offers friends an opportunity to recount their round while overlooking the finishing holes on the course.
