Golf On Oregon’s South Coast

Nestled in the scenic splendor of Curry County, the Wild Rivers Coast offers two exceptional golfing experiences: Cedar Bend Golf Course and Salmon Run Golf Course. Each is a testament to the region’s unique combination of natural beauty and engaging outdoor recreation.

Cedar Bend Golf Course Located in picturesque Cedar Valley, just minutes from Highway 101, Cedar Bend is a hidden gem designed by John Zoller in 1971. This 9-hole course, with 18 tee boxes and dual pins, provides an 18-hole, par 72 experience, stretching from 5,231 to 6,288 yards. Surrounded by steep forested hills and featuring the salmon-bearing Cedar Creek meandering through its layout, Cedar Bend offers both challenge and tranquility.

Operated by the Cedar Bend Golf Association, this member-owned course is committed to community access, wildlife conservation, and the environment. Golfers often spot deer, elk, and vibrant birdlife as they play. Its warmer inland climate makes it a year-round destination for golfers seeking a serene retreat. Salmon Run Golf Course Salmon Run Golf Course is located behind the coastal mountains in Oregon, just 3.5 miles from downtown Brookings. Designed by Troy Claveran and opened in 1999, this course features four sets of tees, stretching from 4,129 yards to over 6,000 yards, making it accessible to every skill level. Open to the public, Salmon Run offers a golfing experience framed by nature’s beauty—golfers may even spot salmon and steelhead swimming up Jack Creek to spawn.

Accompanied by a restaurant, full-service bar, pro shop, and an excellent PGA teaching staff, Salmon Run ensures every round is memorable. Whether you’re mastering its challenging layout or enjoying the serene setting, this course delivers a day of golfing adventure you won’t forget.

Whether you’re seeking a family-friendly community course like Cedar Bend or the rugged beauty of Salmon Run, Curry County’s golf courses provide an unforgettable way to connect with the Wild Rivers Coast. Tee off and let nature frame your perfect round.
